English Support

It's nice to see this English support group. It was kind of hard to find it though (by changing the forum language settings to English). I hope other English users will figure it out.

How can I see the German group without changing my settings to German? There's announcements posted in the German group that aren't announced in the English group. We're feeling left out :(

I just discovered I can see both the English and German groups by selecting both English and German under Settings. Here's how:

At the very top of this page, click "My Profile" ("Mein Profil")

Click "Settings" ("Einstellungen")

In the "Language" ("Sprache") box, change the Language (Sprache) to English (if desired).

Underneath that, select English (Englisch) and German for the section that says "Show content in the following languages" ("Zeige Inhalte in folgenden Sprachen an").

Be sure to click the "Submit" (Absenden) button when you are finished making the language changes.

Now you should be able to see the English Support group AND the German Support group when you go to the Goober Board:

we just setup the english support-Forum, but i didn't found any time to answer your questions - I'll do so soon.

Hi! I have problem whith goober to talk on msn, because my mother has e-mail addses and She has PC,and i have MAC.I want to talk whith video call. I can chat whith her but she can't see to read. Please help me whith this. thank you.

Hello Valentina,

videochat or VoIP-calls from goober to MSN is not possible. ICQ/MSN etc. is only an addon and has not all functions. Goober is an own Messenger with it's own protocol (like Skype). If you want to talk to your mother through High-Quality Videochat both need goober installed.

Moving Goober chat log from old to new computer

Can I move my goober chat log files from my old puter to my new puter and import the log files so that I can read them on my new puter? If so, what file do i need to move?

Hello Namodep,

to move all logs/settings etc. to a new computer you need to copy the whole folder "goober" in documents and settings to the new computer.

This folder is located:

WinXP:
c:\documents and settings\username\applicationdata\

Vista/Win7:
c:\users\username\AppData\Roaming\

Goover iPhone app problem

Hi,

I'm using the iPhone app for voip. The line is clear, I can hear the person I call and thy can hear me but I also hear an echo of my own voice which is very distracting. Is there a setting where I can fix this?

Hello Jonathan,

this is the first time i hear about echo-problems. The echo-cancellation runs directly through the soundchip in the iphone. There are no settings you may change. So i think you must deal with it.
